"Highfields was originally built in the 1960's and has been substantially extended. The construction is of brick and blockwork with rendered and weatherboarded elevations under a tiled roof. The property stands in a generous plot of a 1/3 of an acre, is set back from the road and provides parking for several vehicles. The spacious L-shaped sitting/dining room has an attractive fireplace with surround and mantel with gas coal-effect fire. Glazed doors lead through to the L-shaped kitchen/breakfast room; the kitchen area is fitted with an extensive range of base and wall cabinets with part-granite work surfaces, a stainless steel sink unit, wine racks, under-cupboard lighting and opens out to the breakfast area with French doors leading to the garden. The study has a built-in desk unit with drawer space, book shelves and cabinets. The landing links through to the master bedroom with a dressing area with fitted wardrobes. The bedroom area also has fitted wardrobes and there is spacious en suite shower room. There are 3 further bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes and a family bathroom.
Outside, to the front is a large gravelled driveway providing parking for several vehicles with flowerbed borders and mature tree and shrub planting. The extensive rear garden starts with a newly laid paved terrace overlooking the gardens with predominantly raised flowerbeds, central vegetable garden and outbuildings include two timber sheds, a chicken run and a greenhouse. In all, the plot extend to approximately 1/3 of an acre.Directions

From Saffron Walden take the B1052 (Newport Road) south leading onto the B1383 into the village of Newport. Turn right onto the B1038 following signs to Clavering and upon entering the village of Clavering the property will be found on the right hand side."
