" 18 Saint James Street is an attractive bay fronted Victorian property situated within the centre of this popular and sought after village. The property has many fine original period details which include, picture rails, dado rails, sash windows, cast iron fireplaces and exposed floorboards.

A panelled door with stained glass has a fanlight above and leads to the inviting reception hall which has oak flooring, moulded skirting boards and stairs with the original pine handrail rising to the first floor. A panelled door under the stairs leads to a spacious cellar, which has scope for alternative uses (stp).

A panelled door leads to the semi-open plan principal reception area. The siting room is situated to the front of the property, with a large bay window, exposed floorboards, a detailed fire surround and cast iron grate. There is detailed cornicing and a decorative ceiling rose. A square arch accesses the dining room, situated at the rear, which has the same attractive floorboards and cornicing, an open fire with a wood burner, and a sash window giving views to the rear.

The kitchenbreakfast room is at the rear of the property and has French doors to the garden and a further side door. It is extensively fitted with a range of oak fronted units, granite surfaces and a stainless steel sink. There is a large terrace with a curved retaining wall accessed from the kitchen, which makes it ideal for entertaining, this is flanked by well stocked beds and borders that provide year round colour and interest. Beyond is a large expanse of lawn abutted by attractive hedging and willow screen fencing.

To the rear of the garden is a raised decked terrace, positioned to take advantage of the setting sun, adjacent to which are attractive areas of low maintenance gravel, a storage shed and log store.
