"Whitegates is a detached modern residence with brick and rendered elevations under a peg tiled roof. The property has been extended to the rear by the current owners but, with the size of the plot, it still lends itself to further extension. Accommodation on the ground floor comprises a large reception hallway with double doors leading through to the 30ft sitting room with 2 sets of French doors to the rear garden. The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a range of wall and base units incorporating a 4-oven Aga with separate Hotpoint electric oven with 4-ring ceramic hob, a built-in Bosch microwave and an integrated dishwasher. The large utility room houses the gas fired central heating boiler and has space for a large fridge-freezer, plumbing for a washing machine and 2nd dishwasher. The spacious dining room has a feature open brick fireplace with oak mantel, a box bay window and a door to the garden. The study leads through to the ground floor bedroom with a large store cupboard and has its own independent entrance door and en suite shower room. The first floor comprises a spacious L-shaped landing with a large airing cupboard, 6 bedrooms (2 with en suites), and a well appointed family bathroom. The master bedroom has French doors leading to a lovely decked roof terrace with views over rolling countryside.
Outside, a 5-bar gate leads to the large driveway providing parking for several vehicles and a side gate leads to the L-shaped sun terrace with steps down to the main garden which is mainly laid to lawn and enclosed by post-and-rail fencing. There is also a side bin-store area and a large workshop measuring 19' 10" x 11' 10". The rear garden measures about 103ft deep x 92ft wide.Directions

From Saffron Walden take the B184 to Thaxted. Upon entering Thaxted (Newbiggen Street) proceed to the sharp bend and turn immediately right into Watling Lane. Follow the road down and the property will be found on the left hand side. From Great Dunmow take the B184 to Thaxted, proceeding through the town passing the Guildhall Hall and just after the church on the left hand side, take the second turning on the left into Watling Lane."
