"Elmcott is a fine, detached family house originally built in the 1930s, set close the centre of Thaxted in a quiet no through road. In recent years the property has been substantially extended to provide a spacious and versatile family home, superbly presented throughout and in immaculate condition. The reception lobby links through to the hallway with a staircase leading to the first floor accommodation. To the front of the property is a delightful sitting/family room with a tiled fireplace with open fire. The open-plan sitting/dining room has French doors leading to the covered veranda, a fireplace with coal-effect fire and, leading from this room, is a well fitted study. The kitchen/breakfast/family room has recently been extended with an atrium glazed roof, wood floor throughout and is fitted with an extensive range of base and wall cabinets with electric oven and hob, water softener and other appliances. There is also a utility room and cloakroom. To the first floor is 4 good sized bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room and there is spacious family bathroom with a white suite and separate shower cubicle.
Outside, the tarmacadam driveway provides parking for 3-4 vehicles and a side access leads round to the rear garden. The garden measures approx. 90ft in length and is principally laid to lawn with mature tree and shrub planting, a rear terrace and covered veranda. To the rear of the garden is a large timber framed shed (10' x 10). The upper decked area gives access to the stunning games/garden room (21' 6" x 14' 6") of timber frame construction with two sets of double doors.Directions
