"Minchins was probably built in the reign of Henry VIII and is in a secluded position about 2? miles south of Great Dunmow. Typical of Tudor houses in Essex it is of heavy oak timber framed construction with mellow tiled roof. The house has been refurbished to include new bathrooms, kitchen and central heating and provides very comfortable accommodation for families. There is an entrance hall leading into the reception hall with parquet floor and fine oak staircase with moulded rail. There is a good sized sitting room/family room with bookshelves to one wall and open brick fireplace, a drawing room 9.68m

(31'9) in length and partially divided and with inglenook fireplace. The dining room has a brick fireplace and windows to two aspects, the kitchen/breakfast room has been completely refitted with a bespoke range of units with hard wood worktops, double butler sink and built-in dishwasher and microwave and space for a range. There is a walk-in larder, cloakroom/utility room and rear lobby. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with dressing area and en-suite bathroom also with double shower unit. There are three further bedrooms and smart family bathroom. The house is approached by a gravelled drive leading to a cart lodge garage with an office to the rear. There is a further detached garage and a wide area of hard standing with further garaging and workshop. There are formal mature gardens around the house with paved patio area on the west side and to the rear a vegetable garden and dog kennels. There are two paddocks which border open farmland, the whole extending to nearly 3 acres.
