"Standing in all its glory on Darlingtons Milton Street, this property is as eye catching on the outside as it is on the inside. This property is jam packed full of history built as a Manse this property has been a home for many religions and was used as a Buddhist centre in the early 2000`s.

The sense of grandeur oozes from the property upon arrival with it`s decorative brickwork and imposing double frontage. The property is blessed with stunning original features including coving, high skirting boards, decorative architraving and fireplaces along with modern aspects such as the kitchen and wet room.

As you enter you are greeted with a grand hallway with a beautiful original staircase where the intricate carving in the newel post really comes to life. To the left you enter in to the lounge which really is the most show stopping feature of the property. It measures over a colossal 30ft in length with exposed floor boards which have been gloss varnished and maintained to a very high standard. There are two further reception rooms plus a kitchen in a modern extension. In the kitchen there is a velux window that allows light to flood in to the rear of the property. The adjoining dining room would make the perfect family area. The current vendor has also had a modern wet room fitted in the rear extension along with a utility area.

Part way up the stairs is a half landing giving access to a separate wc and bathroom. Continuing up the stairs to the first floor landing with four substantial doubles and a fifth smaller bedroom. Bedroom three has the most eye catching feature fireplace with solid wood surround and embossed canopy over the grate.

Externally the property has an expansive rear garden with a tarmac side drive secured by electric wrought iron gates. There is a tandem garage and a paved area in which it is possible to park a number of cars. The area laid to lawn is really extensive and is the ideal place to entertain, BBQ or just chill out and relax. There are also some mature fruit trees great for making apple pies - who knows you could be the next candidate on the "Great British Bake-Off".
