Crossways is a relatively new and expanding village surrounded by open countryside and approximately 6 miles from the County Town of Dorchester.
The area Crossways is built on was once an RAF airfield which served an important part in WW2 being a major fighter base during the Battle of Britain. In the early 1970s the site began to grow into a village as part of the Council's demands to satisfy local housing needs.
