"A semi-detached older-style 3 bedroom house with a large garden situated at the end of a cul-de-sac road in this desirable coastal village
3 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, store room, sep WC, bathroom, gas ch, uPVC d/glazed windows and door, dilapidated double garage, driveway, scope for extension or sep dwelling, subject to planning, gardens
SITUATION: No 8, Townsend Way, is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac road just off Annings Lane which is a quiet residential road to the north of the village centre. Burton Bradstock is one of the most sought-after villages in West Dorset with period stone and thatch cottages and houses. The village offers useful local facilities including a general store, post office/stores, church, two inns, garage, library and primary school and recreational ground. The sea is about 0.5 mile away with the famous Chesil Beach and known as the Jurassic Coast.
The market town of Bridport lies about 3.5 miles due west and offers an excellent shopping centre and social facilities. The larger centres of Weymouth and Dorchester are within convenient driving distance, being about 10 and 15 miles respectively.
THE PROPERTY: No 8, Lower Townsend Way, comprises a semi-detached 1950's house set in a large garden, within convenient walking distance of the village centre and the sea and coast. The property is ex-local authority-owned and offers family accommodation with 3 bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor, together with a hall, lounge, kitchen/breakfast room and utility room together with outside store rooms at the rear, on the ground floor. It is fair to say, some updating is required to bring the property up to modern-day standards but the property benefits from gas-fired central heating and uPVC double-glazed windows.
There is a large garden on three sides incorporating a former timber garage which is in a poor state with the potential to provide another dwelling, subject to the necessary planning consents.
An early inspection is highly recommended and there is no forward chain.
