"A unique Grade ll Listed conversion of a former church built in 1840 and retaining many of its architectural features including vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, stone mullions. The property benefits from double glazed windows, large mature landscaped gardens of approximately 0.53 acre and garage and parking.                                 

Old St. James was designed by Richard Carver of Taunton and built in 1840 of Hamstone under a Welsh slate roof. The property was subsequently extended in the 1890's and was converted to a residential dwelling in 1981. The accommodation includes many of the original architectural features and access is gained via double doors to an entrance lobby leading to a large reception room enjoying a triple aspect with stained glass mullion windows. Inner hall with two bedrooms and a drawing room with vaulted ceiling and timbers, pillared stone arch and stained glass windows, a galleried landing, further bedroom and bathroom and a staircase rising to a further bedroom. Art deco gothic timber pine screen leads from the drawing room to the kitchen, through to a utility room and ground floor shower and cloakroom.
