HOW TO GET THERE TQ9 6PX. Turn right at Longcombe two miles outside Totnes on the A385 Paignton road. Continue for 1.4 miles through Aish and turn right at Lembury Cross into Aish Road. Splatt Lodge is the first property on the right. Or, avoiding narrower lanes, from Collaton St Mary, turn south alongside the Parkers Arms and continue to Stoke Gabriel. Approaching the village, turn right into Aish Road and Splatt Lodge is on the left after half a mile. STOKE GABRIEL Stoke Gabriel is a popular and sought after village which lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the head of a creek on the River Dart about three miles south-east of Totnes. The older part of the village is in a conservation area near the River and Mill Pool and much of the area is a Coastal Preservation Area. The village has good facilities including a church, primary school, village hall, post office, general stores and two public houses.
