SITUATION Hillcrest is set in a peaceful, semi rural location on the edge of the popular estuary village of Bishopsteignton. Bishopsteignton has a good range of local facilities including Jack's Patch Garden Centre, doctor's surgery, chemist, post office, convenience store, primary school and pubs whilst the coastal town of Teignmouth (2 miles) has a more extensive range of facilities including hospital, beach and marina.
  Shaldon lies on the south side of the beautiful Teign estuary with many attractive walks in the area. The Dartmoor National Park, famed for its scenery as well as its wide range of outdoor pursuits including walking and riding, lies about ten miles away.
  The property is well served for road communications with the A380 being within two miles which provides excellent access to Torbay to the south and the M5 motorway/Exeter to the north.
  The university and cathedral city of Exeter has a wide range of amenities befitting a centre of its importance including theatres, restaurants, leisure facilities as well as a good range of first class public and private schools. At Exeter are mainline rail services to London Waterloo and Paddington. Exeter International Airport lies four miles east of the city. The market town of Newton Abbott (4 miles) has a wide range of facilities as well as a mainline rail service on the London Paddington line. DESCRIPTION Hillcrest is a beautifully located, attached cottage and is situated in a wonderful elevated rural spot on the fringes of the village. Dating from the late 1940s, the cottage has excellent accommodation, much of which takes full advantage of the spectacular scenery . The property has simply stunning views across and down the Teign estuary.
  The living room has wooden floorboards, together with wood burning stove. The dining room, also with wooden floor, has patio doors to the balcony with its marvellous outlook. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of modern units together with inset fridge and dishwasher as well as hob and oven. The ground floor also benefits from a utility area, separate shower room with wc and further cloakroom.
  On the first floor are four bedrooms, two of which are good size doubles, each with wash basins. There are two further single bedrooms as well as a family bathroom and cloakroom. OUTSIDE To the front of the property is an area of raised flower beds and shrubs, the current owners have a certificate of lawful use to turn this area into off road parking for two. The side door leads to a raised balcony with wrought iron surround. This takes full advantage of the quite excellent views to the Teign estuary and the hills beyond. The remainder of the garden is laid to lawn and enjoys a good degree of privacy and seclusion. DIRECTIONAL NOTE From Exeter take the A380 towards Torbay. After approximately 12 miles take the A381 signposted Bishopsteignton and Teignmouth. After 200 yards turn left into Coombes End Road East. Proceed for approximately 1.5 miles to the top of the hill and at the crossroads turn right where Hillcrest can be seen immediately on the right. SERVICES Mains water and electricity.
