Sidmouth, once a popular and fashionable resort for the Victorians and Edwardians including the young Queen Victoria, has a rich blend of Regency and Victorian buildings.
Sidmouth, today, has an excellent range of amenities including an extensive shopping centre, large supermarket, cinema, theatre, library and modern health centre. There is also a sports hall with a gym and indoor swimming pool as well as excellent facilities for sailing, golf, and indoor and outdoor bowls. There are also thriving cricket and rugby clubs. Directions
From Sidford village centre, proceed in an easterly direction on the A3052. Passing the Blue Ball in on your left hand side. Take the next turning on your left into Harcombe Lane East, then second right sign posted to Boswell Farm. Continue for approximately half mile, passing t over the two cattle grids. Continue up the drive and uphill around to your right. Turn left just before the gates marking the entry to Knowle House and follow the road for 50 yards round to the right into Tall Oak Barn.
