"A beautiful detached barn conversion with two double bedrooms, fantastic kitchen, dining room and living room with plenty of natural light, sat in a large south facing garden, just a mile from Okehampton on the edge of Dartmoor. Gated off road parking, double garage with electric doors and a home office occasional bedroom.

This stunning Grade II listed detached barn conversion boasts stylish and comfortable living. It offers some impressive design features including extensive uses of natural wood including exposed oak beams. The current owners have enhanced the original conversion to create a modern, characterful home in a quiet accessible semi rural location, less than a mile from Okehampton but on a country lane. It is sure to attract a wide range of buyers and, with very little to do here, it would be ideal for those looking to enjoy rural life without being isolated in a quality home on the edge of Dartmoor.

The interesting accommodation extends to over 1500sqft, making it a large area for just two bedrooms. The entrance hall is light and double height, with stairs to the first floor and a well fitted WC. The dining room is central to the house with doors out onto the garden or into the cosy living room with wood panelling and an open fire. The kitchen is modern and well fitted and overlooks the gardens. There is a useful utility boot room with the back door, ideal for daily coming and goings in the countryside. Upstairs are two large double bedrooms with built in storage and a large central bathroom is fitted with a bath and separate shower and serves both bedrooms with a degree of luxury.

Outside is gated off road parking which leads to the detached double garage with twin electric roller doors. Part of the garage see floorplan has an insulated office with power and heating which would also make an ideal hobby room or occasional bedroom. There is also a room where a WC could be fitted and linked to the private drainage system To the front roadside of the barn is a pretty stoned front garden and the main garden lays to the rear south . It is a large lawned garden, surrounded by mature trees and there are seating areas, a pond and an abundance of visiting wildlife.

It really is a slice of Devon without being too remote and with the newly opened Okehampton to Exeter railway line, the amenities of Okehampton plus easy access to Dartmoor, this is a truly wonderful property.
