This impressive period country house was originally the private home od Capt. Francillian a member of the RHS who set out the grounds and has subsequently been a celebrated domestic science school, a boarding house for students of Woodroffe School and about 18 years ago it was converted to 8 holiday letting properties.

In addition planning consent has been granted to convert the Swimming Pool to a terrace of 3 small houses.

Further improvement works recently have created 8 self contained private homes well suited as either permanent homes, a holiday retreat or for lettings.

The properties range from a large and impressive 5 bedroomed house to a pretty 2 bedroomed cottage each maintained to a high standard and offering modern facilities including central heating and double glazing.

It enjoys a lovely rural setting off a quiet lane in the unspoilt Harcombe Valley with views across the grounds to mature woodland and farmland. A garden area has been allocated to each of the houses and there is use of a recently refurbished all weather tennis court. At the entrance are

Whilst tucked away in a quiet location in the country hamlet of Harcombe it is only about 3 miles from the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis, less than a mile from the A35 at Raymonds Hill and also close to village facilities at Uplyme. The old market town of Axminster is approx. 3 miles with a main line railway station Exeter to London Waterloo line .

Lyme Regis is a picturesque coastal town noted for its many character buildings, centuries old Cobb Harbour and unspoilt surrounding countryside. The town centre provides good shopping facilities for day to day needs and the larger centres of Taunton and Exeter are both about 28 miles away. In Lyme Regis there is also a sailing club, bowls, golf course, theatre and numerous local societies.
