SITUATION Wood Close is situated on the fringes of the Teign Valley village of Christow, just on the eastern boundary of the Dartmoor National Park. Christow has a strong community with doctor's surgery, shop/post office, village store, well-regarded pub, primary school (OFSTED - good), parish church and community centre. There are regular bus services into Exeter and Newton Abbot. The university and cathedral city of Exeter (8 miles) lies to the east, and has a wide range of facilities and amenities one would expect from a centre of its size and importance including excellent shopping, theatre, dining and sporting and recreational pursuits. There are mainline railway stations on the London Paddington and Waterloo lines. Exeter International Airport lies approximately 4 miles to the east of the city. DESCRIPTION 1 Wood Close is a detached bungalow of brick elevations under a tiled roof and occupies a good sized corner plot in a small cul-de-sac. The property has been upgraded in recent years including a new kitchen and modern bathroom, and there is upvc double glazing. ACCOMMODATION Porch to front door leading to the reception hallway off which are the principal rooms. The living/dining room sit to the rear of the property with electric coal-effect fireplace as well as sliding doors to the rear gardens. There are some far reaching views. The kitchen id fitted with a modern range of matching eye and base level units, 1.5 bowl sink and drainer and space for cooker. There are two double bedrooms as well as a modern bathroom with white suite comprising panelled bath, separate shower cubicle, wash basin and wc. OUTSIDE To the right of the property is a block paved drive leading to the single garage with up-and-over door as well as power and light supply, and door to the rear garden and integral door to the kitchen. There is space for workbenches and freezers. The property sits in the middle of its own good sized level corner plot. There are several level lawned areas all interspersed with a number of mature flower and shrub beds. To the side of the property are two timber sheds. Due to its position, there are some excellent views across the Teign Valley. DIRECTIONAL NOTE From Exeter proceed on the B3212 signposted Moretonhampstead. Proceed through the village of Longdown and after a few miles, at Farrants Cross, turn left onto the B3193 signposted Chudleigh, Bridford and Christow. At the T-junction turn left onto the Teign Valley Road. Continue past the turning for Bridford and take the 2nd right hand turn signposted Christow. Proceed up the hill, and immediately after passing the community hall and playing fields on the left turn right into Wood Close whereupon the property is the first on the right hand side.
