SITUATION Dawlish is a fascinating Regency resort town nestled attractively between steep surrounding hills. The train line, part of Brunel's Atmospheric Railway, sweeps along the entire seafront. Character cottages, impressive villas, narrow streets and bustling shops form part of its charm. The town is famous for its black swans and sandy beach. Just 3 miles along the coast is Teignmouth, another Regency town with state and private schooling. Exeter (13 miles) has a wealth of facilities befitting a centre of its importance including excellent shopping, dining, theatre, schooling (state and private) plus sporting and recreational facilities. There are mainline railway stations on the Paddington and Waterloo lines as well as an international airport with daily flights to London. Dawlish to Exeter on the train is only 30 minutes. The property is a short walk from the station (direct trains to Paddington) as well as the beach and the town centre. DIRECTIONS From Exeter proceed on the A379 to Dawlish passing through the villages of Kenton and Starcross. Just before reaching the centre of Dawlish turn right onto the High Street signposted Town Centre. Continue on this road which merges onto Park Road where the apartment is located on the right.
