SITUATION Dartmouth is the culmination of the River Dart which starts life as a trickling stream through the boggy mires of Dartmoor before growing and leaping down rocky waterfalls to the ancient market town of Totnes an historic town full of interest with narrow streets and Norman castle. From Totnes the river flows gently passed Dittisham until it reaches the sea at Dartmouth. The Dart Valley is incredibly beautiful with a wide variety of scenery from the rich ancient woodland to rolling fields with a steam railway line, which adds to the atmosphere. It almost goes without saying that Dartmouth is a popular boating centre with a world famous regatta and approximately 2,800 moorings. For those who travelling and commuting is important Exeter and Plymouth have their regional airports, Plymouth also has a ferry terminal and Devon benefits from a comprehensive rail network with road links to the M5 motorway network giving easy access to the rest of the UK and Europe. DESCRIPTION Thurlestone Gardens is a tucked away cul de sac in an elevated East facing position overlooking Dartmouth and the surrounding countryside.
