Living at Kingswood House means waking up to glorious views from every window each morning. It means enjoying every season’s changes and so much more... Kingswood is like a sheltered island. It is surrounded by its own land so it can be a perfect sanctuary. The house is full of light and the Tower has proved a wonderful design feature.

 

Set amidst approximately fifteen acres of pasture and woodland. (Less land or more land with cash adjustment if preferred). This house is in the peaceful area of Ruby County in West Devonshire. It provides complete privacy in a secure location. The house was completed in 2002, designed by the architect Daniel Lloyd, and built to the owner's specification to a very high standard. The house is built on four levels. All windows and doors are double glazed and oil fired central heating is installed.

 

On the ground floor is a Swimming Pool and a Six Person Jacuzzi with French doors opening on to the sheltered Pool Terrace and attractive walled garden with steps leading up to the Lake.

The Office: Size 7.4m x 4.3m with French doors with a wrought iron safety balcony, offering views of the shrubbery.

Master Bedroom: Size 5m x 4.1m with huge arched windows looking out onto beautiful views of woodland and orchard gardens. A walk-in wardrobe. A Dressing Room and  En Suite Bathroom 5.6m x 4.5m with a marble tiled floor and under floor heating. There is a bath, a separate shower, WC, and wash hand basin. Fitted units and a dressing table provide more than ample storage space. From the bedroom a small landing with French doors to the Portico Terrace displays views over the Orchard and Pond in the early morning sun.

On this floor is a second Bedroom: 4.8m x 4.2m with en suite shower, WC, and wash hand basin. This room has double aspect windows framed by two arched doors.

 

From the main landing is an impressive Spiral Staircase which leads to The Tower; size 7m x 7m. This room has three quarter length, sliding, Double Glazed windows the entire length of all four walls affording unrivalled views over the Lake, shrubbery, lawns, and tree top views of the woodland. A book of poems and photographs entitled, ‘Nature Heals’ has been published, which was inspired by the beauty surrounding  Kingswood House; available on Amazon under books.

 

There are miles of bridle ways nearby also foot paths and bicycle tracks through Ruby County. The surfing beaches of Widemouth Bay and Bude are a short drive away as is Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, or Exmoor. Bude with its beautiful canal which has a sea lock is an ideal place to keep a boat. The coastal paths of Devon and Cornwall are possibly the most dramatic and beautiful in England.

 

The owner would accept a coastal property in Brittany or small villa in the winter sun. The Canary Islands preferred or both as part exchange.
