Nearby, the River Yeo joins the River Taw and the Tarka Trail which follows the route of the old railway line and now a popular walk and part of the National Cycle Network.

Barnstaple is a bustling market town with excellent facilities which provide for the wider North Devon regional population. To the west are the popular sandy surfing beaches at Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe. Sailing is available on the coastal waters and Instow, across the estuary on the banks of the River Torridge, is home to the North Devon Yacht Club. For golfers there are a variety of courses but most notable are the two sandy links courses at Saunton near the coast. Inland, and to the north east, is the wide expanse of the National Exmoor Park with its high moorland uplands.

Across the river in Barnstaple is the railway station on the Tarka Line which links the region with Exeter, the Cathedral City and County Town, with its international airport. On the east side of Barnstaple access can be gained to the North Devon Link road (A361) which provides a fast route to the M5 motorway at Tiverton (junction 27) about 34 miles away. There also is Tiverton Parkway main line railway station (London Paddington (2 hours approx.). DIRECTIONS From our offices proceed along Boutport St. Take the first left into Joy Street and follow this road to the junction with the High St. At the junction turn right onto the High Street and proceed down the street. At the end turn left and Brunswick Wharf can be seen on the opposite side of the road.
