SITUATION The Granary is situated in a small courtyard development in the village of Whitford which lies to the south of the larger village of Kilmington where there is a church, village shop and access to the A35. The nearby town of Colyton is easily reached by car and offers a useful range of local facilities including a small supermarket, pubs, restaurant, post office, bank, health centre and the highly regarded Colyton Grammar School. The market town of Axminster offers a wider range of amenities including a Tesco supermarket, hospital and a train station on the Waterloo line. Honiton lies about 11 miles to the west where there is a further range of shops, access to the A30 dual carriageway and A303. The county towns of Exeter, Taunton and Dorchester are all within easy travelling distance and offer the majority of leading department stores and educational facilities expected of a large town or city. Whitford is situated about 4 miles from the Jurassic Coast which offers wonderful walking opportunities on the coastal path and other recreational opportunities with sailing clubs at Axmouth and Beer.
