"A retro and practical three bedroom home located in a convenient and central location in Redland. Built in the 60's this property is filled with light thanks to large windows throughout, and also features a large reception room, kitchen/diner, a private enclosed garden and a single garage. Ground floor accommodation comprises; main entrance into the hallway with two storage cupboards and a staircase that leads up to the first floor. At the front of the property is an authentic 60's style kitchen/diner with pale blue units, contrasting worktop, tiled splash back, serving hatch, storage cupboard and a lovely original tiled Lino floor. At the rear of the property a spacious living room spans the full width of the house and looks onto and provides access to the rear garden. On the first floor, the property offers three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Bedrooms number two and three are positioned at the back of the property and overlook the garden with a view onto the train line and park behind. The master bedroom looks out onto South Road and includes a built in storage cupboard. Finally the vibrant and functional bathroom is finished with a white suite, metro-brick tiled splash back and a Lino floor. Outside, the front of the property has the classic 60's appearance with large windows, fish scale tiled feature, bin store and a generous garden with a tree and mature hedges and bushes. The private rear garden is paved throughout with established bushes and trees, and backs onto the railway and park, and benefits from not being overlooked. The property also includes a separate garage with an up and over door, and is accessed off South Road at the end of the terrace.
18 South Road is an interesting and unique opportunity. These houses are incredibly practical and convenient and offer a really quality environment centred around space, light and practicality. This example feels authentic and retains many original features.

This special and charming home has been cherished by a family of five and feels homely and welcoming. The property is located very conveniently, providing easy walking access to Redland station, Cotham Gardens, Gloucester Road, Clifton and the city centre.

Vendors comments: After moving in in 2013 I found in the loft that one of the previous owners' children had written (and signed) 'I love this house' - and dated it the day before the move happened. Leaving was clearly a wrench for them and we too have enjoyed enormously living here and feel very sad to have to leave. 18 South Road is a small house but very nicely proportioned. A kitchen large enough to have 13 people for Christmas dinner (it was a bit of squeeze but we did it!) and we've also had numerous parties in the living room / garden. There's so much storage which again makes it feel like a much bigger house. Plenty of cupboards in the main house together with a large and accessible loft space AND a garage means that it's never cluttered with large toys / bikes etc. The area is great - very attractive and convenient with many great transport links (city/ Temple Meads) and a very short walk to Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road, Chandos Road and the Downs. Cotham Gardens (a lovely park) is just around the corner and as you don't have to cross a road to get there my children were able to go by themselves at a much younger age than would otherwise be possible. Because of all of this we are very reluctant movers - but with a third child we have to face the inevitable."
