Lode Hill is set within just over 4 acres of land, approached by a sweeping driveway over 100 meters long in south facing formal gardens with many mature trees, evergreen shrubs and rhododendron bushes.
The current property is situated on the original foundations of a three storey 15 bedroom period mansion built in 1860n++6 formerly owned by Henry Russell Greg.

History
The Greg family were the local mill owners and entrepreneurs of the famous Quarry Bank Mill, Styal. Reference to Lode Hill is found within Quarry Bank Mill and Northcliffe Chapel, Styal dating back to the 1880n++s
Original walling, a grand archway with the n++Gregn++ coat of arms set within, a grave yard and some original outbuildings are some of the things still present on the site today.
