"This historical detached Grade II* Listed property was originally built in 1760 and is in an ideal location in a Conservation Area. It is only a very short drive to the A2 for London and Dover and a mile from Canterbury West station where the fast train takes you to St Pancras in 54 minutes. The property is set back from the road with a wide frontage for off road parking and nestles in the midst of secluded grounds that include a large terrace, steps up to a lawn and a patio surrounded by tall trees and a flint wall, providing privacy and security.

The property has enormous potential to become a stunning family home with interesting external features including a wrought iron balcony over the front porch that incorporates an arched entrance and a panelled front door. Internally there are many original features such as sash windows with original side and lift up shutters, high skirting boards, coved ceilings, picture rails, panelled doors, fireplaces, oak flooring and a Georgian arch. The ground floor consists of a wide hallway leading to the living accommodation including the spacious kitchen with a breakfast area, access to the utility room and a door to the rear terrace. We moved here about 20 years ago and it has been a delightful home but it is now time to downsize. Harbledown is a charming village surrounded by orchards and close to Blean Woods. There is a village pub, a convenience store and a cricket club while nearby Blean includes a primary school rated Outstanding by Ofsted. Canterbury has excellent grammar and private schools, three universities, historic buildings, high street stores and individual shops as well as restaurants, pubs, cinemas and two theatres.
