"'The Old Greyhound' is a former Coaching Inn built in the late 16th and early 17th century. This stunning timber framed detached family home has been sympathetically restored over many years by the existing owner, retaining a wealth of character features whilst having contemporary bathroom suites and a superb kitchen diner. The property is entered through the solid oak front door opening into the entrance hall, with its sweeping staircase and wrought iron balustrade. The sitting room is the first of the three reception rooms, with a wealth of character features and an inglenook fireplace. The family room has windows to the front and rear and exposed timbers and stone work. The rear wing of the property is accessed from its own magnificent hallway with doors into the study and the drawing room which has a log burner set into the fireplace, solid wood floor boards and access to the cellar. The superbly spacious kitchen diner is the 'heart of the home' and has a generous supply of units finished with granite work surfaces, integrated appliances, an Aga set into the exposed brick chimney breast, terracotta tiled flooring and French doors opening out on to the terrace. The utility room has ample space for the remaining white goods and also has a door leading out to the rear garden. Upstairs off the split-level landing are the five bedrooms, with the master suite benefiting from a dressing room fitted with 'his and hers' double wardrobes and a luxurious contemporary en-suite shower room. There are three further double bedrooms with bedroom three having a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams and there is a slightly smaller fifth bedroom fitted with a skylight window. The family bathroom is fitted with a white three piece suite and has a power shower over the bath. The beautiful rear gardens are set over several levels, the large terrace has ample space for entertaining and has a stone retaining wall with steps up to the lawn with a variety of flowers, shrubs, trees and hedging planted to the borders and a rockery planted with a variety of shrubs and alpines. Walking through the arbour you enter a smaller private garden which is laid with decorative gravel, there is mature planting to the borders and a raised pond. The gravelled driveway with its covered well, is to the front of the property and provides 'In & Out' drive-through parking, which is enclosed with stone walling and wrought iron open fencing, there is mature planting to the borders and a beautiful summer flowering climbing rose between the kitchen and bedroom windows.
