"A superbly presented period detached cottage sympathetically renovated and extended in recent years. The current owners have successfully combined modern convenience whilst retaining the original charm and character of cottage. The renovation works included a full re-wire and re-plumb, handmade replacement double glazed windows. The materials used on the cottage were carefully selected to retain the character and have included limed mortar to fix and point the brickwork. Internally all the doors are oak ledged with latch fittings. The Sitting Room has a brick fireplace and hearth with bessemer and inset solid wood burning stove and Oak flooring. The dining room has a character brick and timber exposed wall with a study area at one end The two storey extension, which has been constructed under a pitch tiled roof, offers accommodation of kitchen/breakfast room and master bedroom with en-suite shower. The main bathroom has a white contemporary suite with a roll top claw foot bath and separate shower cubicle with power shower The kitchen is fitted in a range of oak wall and floor mounted store units and has slate tiled floor with underfloor heating. The cottage stands in excellent sized gardens with the main garden area having a south westerly aspect. Situated within the garden is a former outbuilding (known as THE SHED) this has been converted to provide a utility room with cloakroom and a garden room, and offers a range of usages which could include a childrens playroom, external office/study or Guest Annexe. With many of the rooms providing a dual aspect this cottage is extremely light, airy, and individual for a property of it's age.The cottage is in one of the oldest parts of the village, and sits 'end on' to the lane with on road parking. 'West End' is a quiet no through lane.
