"Packed full of character and period charm this Grade II listed Georgian townhouse is perfectly positioned to enjoy city living at its finest. Literally around the corner from the Cathedral and College Green and with Brandon Hill park on the doorstep.
Impressively yet sympathetically updated in the past decade the house retains the vast majority of its period features whilst combining modern day fixtures and fittings; creating a very welcoming, comfortable home in the heart of the city.
The accommodation is arranged over four floors in classic townhouse configuration with central staircase separating rooms front and back. The lower floor has a kitchen fitted with white shaker style units and wood block worksurfaces. Lots of nooks and crannies for cooker and fridge freezer. Wide opening around the back of the staircase into the dining room which has a high level window and access to the coal store in a vaulted cellar that extends under the pavement to the front of the house. To the rear the rear garden is courtyard in style and secluded whilst enjoying a relatively open south west facing aspect. A lean to style conservatory utility space sits attached to the rear of the house. It has flagstone floor, recess for washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a door to the outside WC.
The hall floor offers the principal living room running the full width of the rear of the house. It is well lit via a large sash window with shutters and has its original Georgian cast iron fireplace and surround. A charming and elegant room that again connects to the study bedroom 4 positioned at the front. Another shuttered sash window, Georgian fireplace and lots of character. Moving upstairs over the two upper floor there are three double bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom. These four rooms all retain their fireplaces and have large wardrobes as well as offering charm in abundance. The upper floor rear bedroom offers a cityscape rooftop view with the North Somerset countryside in view beyond the masts of Brunel s SS Great Britain. The bathroom is beautifully appointed. Slipper style freestanding bath, walk in shower with Monsoon shower head and period style towel radiator, wash basin and WC.
A wonderful example of a classic Georgian townhouse with most of its period features retained. Sympathetically updated and sat in a tucked away yet central location with sunny South West facing courtyard garden and ample living space Circa 1500 sq ft. . Offered for sale with no onward chain."
