Within just a short walk away is the ancient Ludlow Castle and Castle gardens and close by are the beautiful riverside walks and the stunning local beauty spot of Whitcliffe Common.

It is believed that Curriers Cottage dates back to the 17th Century and is thought to have been a cottage and workshop for the local Currier, a specialist in the leather making industry. In the main it is a brick and timber construction and has been beautifully restored and refurbished.

The accommodation is laid out on three floors. The whole house as well as having gas fired central heating also has electric under floor heating. The state of the art kitchen is fully equipped with ample wall and base units, bamboo worktops and a breakfast bar/centre isle again with a bamboo worktop. Integrated into the breakfast bar is a two drawer fridge and two drawer dishwasher. Other built-in appliances include a ceramic induction hob with extractor hood above, a built-in steam oven, a built-in microwave oven, sink with waste disposal unit, matching digital scales and radio unit. The kitchen has full width sliding glazed doors leading to outside, which let in plenty of natural light and there is also a skylight.

The dining room has exposed ceiling and wall beams and a useful store cupboard gives access to the cellar. A ground floor cloaks room includes WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. From the dining room steps leads up to a superb orangery. It has double glazed windows on two sides and double glazed doors opening out on the stone patio. There is a glazed roof again allowing in plenty of natural sunlight. From here the lovely views of the garden are taken advantage of.

From the main entrance hall an oak built staircase rises up to the first floor landing. From here there is access in to the first floor sitting room, which is a bright and airy room with exposed ceiling and wall timbers and also a high vaulted ceiling. From the windows full advantage is taken of the lovely views over the gardens and to the countryside beyond. A focal point in the room is the Stovax wood burner. Also on the first floor is a double bedroom with exposed ceiling timbers, windows to two elevations and built-in wardrobe. There is also a shower room, which is fully tiled and has a shower cubicle, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Oak stairs continue to the second floor where there are two further bedrooms, one with exposed ceiling and wall timbers and a window and skylight with views across to Whitcliffe Common. The third bedroom has custom made steps, which lead up to an interesting mezzanine which provides an extra sleeping area. There are also exposed timbers and a window and skylight. Also on the second floor is the bathroom with white suite of bath, WC and wash hand basin.

Fitted carpets and most of the curtains and fitted blinds are included in the sale.

A utility/laundry room is accessed from outside with plumbing for a washing machine, an airing rack and plenty of space for a freezer. There is an interesting separate stone building, which could be utilised for a variety of different purposes. This two storey building has a sink unit on the ground floor and stairs which rise up to a room above with a central heating radiator and leaded light windows, which open to the original window shutter. The ceiling rises into the apex of the roof.

The gardens are a very special feature. There is a side terrace bordered by a high brick wall, which winds around to the rear of the main house, where there is a lovely sun terrace ideal for al fresco eating. The gardens face a South Westerly aspect taking full advantage of the daytime sunshine. Totally private, the garden has been interestingly and beautifully landscaped with a huge variety of colourful plants and shrubs and has been carefully designed for all year round interest. There are lawns and a garden pond and a strategically placed seating area at the rear of the garden to take advantage of the lovely views back up towards the house.
