" The original part of this exciting two bedroom, two reception room semi- detached cottage is reputed to have been built back in the 17th century (probably farmworkers cottages). The accuracy of this is unknown by us, but it is certainly extremely old by virtue of some of the exposed beams and low ceilings in the original section of the property. At around the turn of the 19th century it was then extended to the front to create the master bedroom and sitting room.

The entrance door is to the side and takes you into a hallway off which all three ground floor rooms can be accessed. The front sitting room is of excellent dimensions with three front-aspect windows allowing large ingress of light. There is a recessed fireplace in this room and one of the very interesting features here is the large flagstone tiled flooring with under tile heating. This tiling continues through into the separate dining room. The dining room is part of the original building with beamed ceiling and exposed beams to one wall and a lower ceiling than that in the sitting room. The staircase leads off this room. The separate kitchen is again of good proportions and fitted with a comprehensive range of oak style units, large full height storage cupboard, woodblock work-surfaces and spaces for the usual appliances.

Upstairs, the staircase leads to a very good size landing with an original beamed wall off which are both bedrooms and the bathroom. The master bedroom is of an excellent size and spans the full width of the house above the sitting room. There is a fireplace and a full width range of fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom is also a good double room and the separate bathroom is fitted with a modern white suite.

The house is heated via a gas central heating system to radiators and there is also under-tile heating in the lounge and dining room in addition to radiators. The house is on mains drainage. "
