Full description:
Norton House is situated in a surprisingly rural spot on the edge of the village but within walking distance of Audley End mainline train station and within two miles of the historic market town of Saffron Walden. The original house is built in brick with a rendered finish and is believed to have been constructed in the 1930s. There have been sympathetic and subsequent extensions in recent years to provide a house of generous proportions and of high quality and includes a new heating system and re-wiring. There is oak and marble flooring on the ground floor and a contemporary kitchen with quality fittings. The first floor has two impressive vaulted bedrooms and two further bedrooms. The windows are bespoke hardwood units with double
glazing. The house is complimented by gardens of about 1.85 acres with substantial orchard and sandstone terrace with views. The house and cottage are accessed via wrought iron remote controlled gates and a fairly extensive gravelled parking area and a pathway to the front door.

The grounds are impressive with lawns and a mature orchard with approximately 50 fruit trees including apple, plum and pear. To the side is a detached annexe/studio comprising a sitting room/office with staircase to the first floor with shower room and first floor bedroom.

Directions:
From Saffron Walden proceed out of the town following signs to Wendens Ambo. proceed into the village, passing the turning for Audley End Station. Follow the road down a short winding hill and at the bottom turn left before the public House into Duck Street. Follow the road along for
about ? of a mile. At the bottom the road turns sharply left, follow this left hand turn and the property will be found about 200 metres further on, on the left hand side. From the south ? proceed on the B1383 through Newport village. On leaving Newport there is a medium sized roundabout and here go straight over and then take the first possible left hand turn after only about 50 metres ? this is minor lane which takes you over the railway line and the property is then about 200 metres down this road on the right hand side.
