This historic Grade II listed house is situated in the heart of York city centre in the popular Bishophill area. In addition to its charming exterior, the property is tastefully presented internally to a high standard and offers spectacular views onto York’s ancient city walls.

Built Circa 1851, this early Victorian property is a fine example of the townhouses built within and around the city at that time. Internally, there are a great number of period architectural features that include sash windows, cornices and cupboards.

The property opens to a staircase hall leading into the open plan sitting and dining room; a light and bright room with wood burning stove under a timber beam lintel and with large sash windows. The kitchen is situated at the rear with neutral wall and base units and space for free standing appliances. From here, stairs lead down to the cellar which is ideal for storage. Others on Dewsbury Terrace have been converted to create additional living space.

The first floor houses two well-proportioned double bedrooms and a house bathroom with a modern white suite. A second floor attic room benefits a further bedroom

(with restricted height).

Externally to the front is a lovely Southerly courtyard set behind cast iron railings with spectacular views onto the steep grass banks and city walls. To the rear is a courtyard garden with provision for a small seating area and brick construction outbuilding. There is ample residents parking on Dewsbury Terrace.

In summary, a rare opportunity to acquire a superb property in the finest of locations.
