" Towthorpe Manor Farm is a fascinating period house which dates back at least 200 years and forms the principal part of a substantial manor house. The property has been modernised and improved in recent years and now offers most comfortable and practical family accommodation with many interesting period features. On the ground floor there are two superb reception rooms, a 20' dining kitchen with AGA, as well as ancillary accommodation including boot room, utility and cloakroom. On the first floor there are four bedrooms, one of which features an original panelled wall, a study and two full bathrooms, one of which has been recently been impressively refurbished. In addition to the main living accommodation there are three useful attic rooms with a direct staircase from the ground floor and two excellent cellar rooms with vaulted ceilings which are thought to pre-date the existing house.
The house is attractively decorated throughout; the majority of windows are double-glazed and there is oil fired central heating. The reception rooms and two main bedrooms face south-west and overlook the delightfully mature gardens whilst the other rooms enjoy a south-easterly aspect and views across a substantial gravelled courtyard.
An extensive range of traditional outbuildings form part of the property and offer excellent storage, garaging and stabling. These also offer a number of other interesting possibilities for conversion to holiday cottages/granny annexe or home work space.
