" They say location is everything, and you have just that with this property situated at the absolute heart of Brighton, in the fashionable North Laines. A stones throw from the seafront, even closer to mainline Brighton Station and surrounded by all the restaurants, bars and entertainment venues to complete the famous ‘Brighton lifestyle’. Modern chic meets quality vintage, this house has been restored and decorated to a fine standard, sympathetic to original features, often lost in such period properties, including the fireplaces and doors and sealed exposed brickwork in the loft conversion. The clever use of the loft space has essentially created an extra guest/ office space. Along with new sound reduction windows throughout the property, bi-fold doors and the placement of numerous Velux windows, the streaming light and tranquil ambiance creates a real private sanctuary, allowing you to wind down and forget about the life outside. Stand-out features include the stunning high-class gloss kitchen and distinctive slate flooring that flows out seamlessly through to the courtyard. The sumptuous bathroom sports a large bespoke walk-in shower plus Victorian style roll-top bath and reclaimed wood floor. Recent improvements include a new roof, newly installed electrics and plumbing throughout and a damp-proofing system, and notably, approved planning permission for construction of a raised timber platform with spiral staircase to expand the courtyard upwards.

What the Owner says:

This house has been my handy haven after an exhaustingly indulgent trip to the boutiques & mall, or after a tipsy night out in the city centre. I’ve lived in many places, bustling centrally located flats, scenic but harder-to-get-to houses on the outskirts of Brighton, but this house feels more like a cottage to me. Waking up to the call of seagulls, no longer having to compromise space over serenity; a real treasure frankly and so close to the sea! The ground level is fantastic for wining and dining, when I have all the doors open and the company of friends who sit outside and socialise with me as I cook and entertain. Convenience is the biggest plus, I travel a lot with work, so having the train station on my door step has been a godsend.
