" An immaculately presented Victorian cottage that has been extensively modernised but still retains its original character and charm.

Overall Description This is a charming semi-detached period property located in a pleasant quiet location yet only a short walk from the village centre. The cottage has been comprehensively and sympathetically updated so that it retains its Victorian character and yet is also a modern, light and practical home. As you walk through the solid wood front door you enter the hall way which leads upstairs to the first floor and through to the sitting room which has original varnished floor boards as well as an attractive period fireplace with gas fire. The modern kitchen is very well laid out with an eye level double oven/grill, gas hob with extractor and fitted fridge and freezer underneath the beech work surfaces. The extension which is currently used as a sitting/dining room

(but could also make an excellent studio or home office) has a vaulted ceiling with six Velux windows which make it very light and open, and it also has French doors opening out into the lovely garden. The utility room has space for washing machine and tumble-drier and there is also a useful downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs one can find both the bedrooms and the modern bathroom with the master bedroom having an original cast iron fireplace. The second bedroom could also be used as a study and overlooks the back garden. The garden is a real feature of this delightful property as it is larger than other cottages in the vicinity, pleasantly landscaped, and stocked with a wide selection of flowering plants and shrubs, with a side entrance leading along a path to the front. If you are looking for a fantastic period property in an excellent village location then look no further.
