" A spacious Edwardian village home, providing versatile accommodation with many character features and extends to just over 3,300 sq ft of accommodation, which includes a covered carport and garage.

Internally, there is a traditional layout with a central reception hall and landing. On the ground floor there are four reception rooms, with the sitting room measuring approximately 20' 9 x 16' 7 and having an open fireplace and high ceiling. Double doors open through to the dining room, with its attractive exposed Washington Chalkstone wall and full height fitted wooden bookcases. There is a breakfast room with a stable door opening to the drive and archway through to the kitchen, with its bay window and quarry tiled floor. At the back of the house there is a rear hall which provides a large separate utility area, shower room and conservatory, with double doors to the verandah and garden.

The stairway to the first floor rises from the hall and there are five bedrooms, all double in size. The master bedroom and second bedroom both have bay front windows, cast iron fireplaces and fitted wardrobes. There are three further bedrooms, a cloakroom and a family bathroom with two wash hand basins and a separate shower. Bedroom five features a Juliet balcony with french doors and views over the garden.

Washington is an attractive downland village, set within the South Downs National Park. By passed a number of years ago, the village has a pretty centre with a collection of period cottages and homes, together with a pub, church, highly regarded first school and Windlesham House prep school. The neighbouring villages of Storriington and Steyning to the west and east respectively, offer a good range of shops and amenities, together with a wide variety of sports and social clubs. The larger towns of Horsham and Worthing are easily accessed from the A24 and are apprximately 15 and 8 miles respectively.
