" We are delighted to offer for sale, for the first time since being bought as a brand new home in 1956, this skilfully extended bungalow situated in a very popular location with housing on one side of the road only with allotments & farmland on the other. Only a few minutes walk from the local shops, leisure centre, a picturesque stretch of the River Thames and its riverside bars. The nicely proportioned accommodation briefly comprises entrance hall with access to airing cupboard, all principle rooms and a loft, mainly boarded with lighting. The good size extended lounge/dining room is double aspect and has a feature fireplace and patio doors to the rear garden. The kitchen/breakfast room, also extended, has a good range of eye and base level units, built-in fridge, gas hob, electric oven, the gas central heating boiler, newly installed in 2014, and space and plumbing for a washing machine. The main bedroom is a generous double room and overlooks the front garden and the farmland. The second bedroom could accommodate either a double or two single beds and has a good range of built-in storage, while the third bedroom is a nice sized single with a fitted wardrobe. The bathroom has a matching bath and sink with a heated towel rail and there is a separate WC. Externally to the front there is parking for two cars and benefits from a well manicured front garden laid to lawn with flower borders. In addition there is a shared drive leading to a double length garage with light and power. The rear garden is a wonderful feature of this property and comprises of a large paved terrace, ideal for entertaining, with steps down to a smaller terrace leading to the wonderful lawned area. The garden is very well stocked with flowers and shrubs and offers both areas in light and shade. Other bungalows in Franklyn Road have been subject to substantial extensions on both ground and first floor and therefore this property would lend itself to further enlargement s.t.p.p. "
