" Number 10 Brodawel is located towards the outskirts of the Upper Towy valley village of Llanwrda about 4 miles west of the market town of Llandovery and 7 miles east of Llandeilo. The village itself stands on the A40 trunk road giving access to the other market towns of West Wales and the M4 motorway at Cross Hands and with a station on the Heart of Wales line from Shrewsbury to Swansea about 1 mile distance. In the village there is a general store, public house, several places of worship. The Brecon Beacons National Park area lies to the south and the Cambrian Mountains to the north.
