19 The Forebury was built in the early 1930s in a period style and occupies one of the most favoured positions in the small town of Sawbridgeworth, with open green space to the front and attractive far reaching views behind. Yet for the family and the commuter, the house is only about 400m from the mainline train station (services to London Liverpool Street approx 45 mins) and to a wide range of local schools and family run businesses. Predominantly built in brick with tile hung elevations set under a pitched and tiled roof, the house has a number of notable features including an attractive entrance hall with wooden flooring and staircase to the first floor, drawing room with wide bay window and working fireplace and a timbered dining room. At the back of the house the kitchen opens to a breakfast room with access to the garden, in addition there is a utility room and cloakroom. On the first floor there are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house is almost in the middle of a plot of about half an acre which is easily maintained, principally laid to lawn and includes garaging. There is significant scope for modernisation and with relevant planning consent, extension.Directions
