" Anyon Villas are a row of six terraced properties located in a quiet street, off Lord Street. They are believed to have been built by local farmer and butcher, Anyon Kay, who was butcher to Lord Leverhulme and slaughtered his rare animals at Rivington which were sent to the troops during the Great War, to house his family members in 1907.
