" House-Hut Estate Agents present this lovely two bedroom weavers cottage, parts of which are believed to date from 1690 sits in the heart of Frome's conservation area. The gable end frontage of this grade II listed property is unusual and makes it stand out from the neighbouring properties. It is well presented with nicely proportioned rooms and has the benefit of a good sized loft with skylight and window to the front gable end. 

The accommodation comprises entrance hall with stained glass window. The living room is located in the newer part of the property and benefits from large picture windows and French door to the rear garden.  The Kitchen has exposed beams, a storage cupboard and is fitted with a range of wall and floor units, laminate worktops and inset 1 1/2 bowl sink.  There is a freestanding gas cooker, tiled floor and space for appliances. A curved spiral staircase winds up to the first floor landing where the airing cupboard housing the gas fired boiler will be found and the loft access hatch with ladder.   Both bedrooms are of a good size with exposed floorboards.  The front bedroom has an old (sealed)access hatch to the lower floor - an interesting relic from the past.   The bathroom has a contemporary stylish feel with a panel bath with mains fed power shower over, hand wash basin inset to a vanity unit, WC and window to the rear providing natural light.   The rear garden is full enclosed with random stone walling and fences.  It is laid to lawn with a flagstone patio and garden shed.  There is a side access gate which leads to the rear of the property where a public car park will be found providing ample parking. If you are looking to own a wonderful slice of historic Frome this could be the property to buy.

Frome is a pretty market town and recently voted one of the top six places to live in England by the Times newspaper It has a thriving town centre with many amenities, including a wide range of local and individual shops, a twice weekly market, banks, post office, two theatres, a number of music venues, a cinema, pubs and restaurants, a new local hospital, supermarkets, a number of schools and a railway station with direct mainline services to London. There is a Leisure Centre with swimming pool and the usual facilities. Located on the borders of Somerset and Wiltshire the surrounding countryside offers lots of lovely walks and opportunities for outdoor pursuits. The town has two golf courses and a football club. Nearby is the well renowned Longleat Estate, a number of national trust properties including Stourhead, and Babbington House Country Club. The stunning Georgian city of Bath lies approximately 15 miles distant, which is home to elegant buildings, amazing museums and ancient hot springs, offering a wealth of cultural experiences to enjoy. There are good road links to London and the South West via the A303, M4 and M5 all of which are in reasonable reach. Mainline rail connections to London are also provided from Bath and nearby Westbury and Bristol International airport is also just a 45 minute drive away.
