For those with aspirations of a life in the country, this delightful three/four bed detached dormer bungalow cannot fail to impress, with simply stunning landscaped gardens to three sides bordering open countryside, and creating a real feeling of seclusion and privacy.  Our clients inform us that the property was built circa 1976 by a local builder for his extended family. This attractive home is located in the highly desirable village of Wrightington, an area renowned for its prestige homes nestled amidst glorious countryside.  Despite its impressive credentials as a rural retreat, the property is far from remote, with shops and amenities within easy reach, as well as superb motorway links via the M6, ensuring major commercial centres such as Manchester, Liverpool and Preston are all within a reasonable commute.

On entering via the entrance porch, proceeding into the welcoming reception hallway with its open-tread staircase to the first floor and useful cloakroom/WC, one is immediately greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, which really sets a precedence for the remainder of the accommodation, with this homely atmosphere pervading throughout. The supremely spacious 30โ€™ split level through lounge/dining room provides a wonderful entertaining space and is flooded with natural light via the large uPVC double glazed picture window to the front elevation. A feature fireplace with decorative surround and inset coal-effect electric fire provides an attractive focal point, whilst the raised dining area is an ideal spot for those family luncheons or perhaps an impromptu dinner party, when one has the urge to entertain. Patio doors lead through to the conservatory, creating a perfect space for relaxation or contemplation, or perhaps simply to survey those fabulous gardens and views beyond. The good-sized breakfast kitchen is in a country-style and comprehensively fitted with a range of wall and base units in Oak with contrasting work surfaces, glazed display units with inset spot-lighting, built-in breakfast bar and integrated dishwasher, whilst there is also a handy separate utility room in which to keep the washing out of sight of unexpected visitors. The ground floor accommodation is completed by a flexible room to the front of the property, which is currently used as a sitting room by our clients, but which could be utilised for a number of purposes; a study, for those requiring some space to work from home, a playroom for the children, or perhaps a fourth bedroom, if required.

To the first floor, via a bright landing, one discovers three further good-sized bedrooms, all of which are comprehensively fitted with an extensive range of built-in furniture, whilst the master bedroom boasts an en-suite dressing room and a luxuriously appointed five piece en-suite bathroom, comprising of pedestal wash hand basin, WC, bidet, corner jacuzzi bath and separate shower cubicle. The main family bathroom completes the accommodation, being fully tiled and fitted with a three piece suite in classic white.

Externally, one could exhaust any list of superlatives, with the property occupying a quite idyllic position, with breath-taking gardens to three sides. The front and extensive side gardens are mainly laid to lawn, whilst the rear is in a terrace style, offering a pleasing blend of stone and block paving, with attractive planted borders. A delightful arbour provides a beautiful space for al-fresco dining, or perhaps to partake of a few glasses of wine in those long Summer evenings, whilst the sheep graze in the adjoining countryside. Off-road parking facilities are available on the driveway, which also provides access to the detached single garage. (which could potentially be converted to an annex subject to the relevant permissions being granted).  There are also power points in the garden and summer house.  We would strongly advise an appointment to view this lovely home, to appreciate all that it has to offer and the stunning location.
