" Internal viewing is essential to appreciate this stunning family home. In an area where many houses are more than 100 years old and individual in style - this (1284 SQ.FT.) property is larger than most and stands out for boasting a large south facing rear garden which enjoys pleasant church aspects. Built on an almost 45 degree angle this home is deceptively large and is nearly twice as wide to the rear as it is from the front. It is essentially double fronted to the rear with a large, not overlooked patio area leading to an established and fully enclosed lawned garden. The patio enjoys the sun all day and has pleasant views towards the historic St Michael & All Angels Church. There is an original, brick built former washhouse (that is supplied with mains electricity) situated to the rear of the property that provides a vital storage area. Due to the unique shape of the property, the interior was always likely to be architecturally interesting and this home has significantly more character than usual. Although modernised by our clients, it perfectly blends old with new and much of this character has been retained and features throughout the property. None more so than the large reception hallway which makes a grand statement and features the original tiled floor, stained glass internal doors, matching windows, coved ceiling and staircase. Both reception rooms have been brought up to date with modern double glazed windows and clean, plastered walls whilst keeping the original tiled fireplaces for character. The rear reception room is delightfully large and perfect for open plan family living. The kitchen has been fitted with a range of modern style cupboards and has access to the rear garden. The whole of the upstairs area has been completely modernised with all new plastered walls, ceilings and windows excluding the landing window which matches the rest of the stained glass set on the eastern elevation. The landing has a large bathroom on one side and a separate WC on the other. The bathroom has an original freestanding cast iron bath, modern sink and shower cubicle. In addition there are three bedrooms all of which are a good size including one that features an original fireplace. This is essential viewing for any family wanting a large, traditional but modernised house with a garden. "
