" A refurbished and immaculately presented three bedroom property set in the delightful village of Tuckenhay with parking, garden and rural views. Entrance Porch, Sitting/Dining Room, Kitchen, Conservatory, 3 Bedrooms, Family Bathroom, Garden & Patio, Integral Garage, Village Location.

SITUATION Bow Creek is situated within the charming village of Tuckenhay, which is located approximately 6 miles from Dartmouth and 4 miles from Totnes. The village enjoys two well-reputed public houses the Maltsters Arms & The Watermans Arms situated on Bow Creek, which is a tributary of the River Dart estuary. Tuckenhay was a thriving 18th-century port with a corn mill, cider press and 2 working quays, 15 limekilns can also be found in the immediate vicinity of Bow Creek. The largest mill made paper from about 1829 to its closure in 1970, at one point it produced paper of such fine quality that it was used for Queen Elizabeth II's proclamation. Today, all that remains of this industrialisation is a picturesque and unspoilt village lining the waters edge. 200 years ago, the creek was busy with trading barges and tall-masted ships, but today this languid inlet of the River Dart offers peaceful navigation for private yachts winding their way to a waterside inn or restaurant. The bustling medieval market town of Totnes boasts a good selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and public houses. There is also excellent access to the A38 Devon Expressway linking Plymouth to Exeter where it joins the M5 and a mainline railway station giving direct connections to London Paddington.
