" Marel was originally built in c1923 by messes Carpenter Mayne from timber, believed by the present owner, to have been reclaimed from the former Devon County Show ground at Seale Hayne, and hasn`t been on the open market until now. It is fair to say that the property offers a huge amount of potential and would make a wonderful development site, subject to all the necessary planning permission and consents. Neighbouring properties have been rebuilt using more conventional materials. The property is timber built and therefore is unlikely to be considered for a mortgage so this would suit cash or investment buyers.

Sitting in a lovely, gently sloping plot the property is currently arranged as two bedrooms, a lounge dining room, kitchen area and bathroom. There is a generous loft area and a very useful cellar/workshop. There was originally a garage, however this is now an area of road parking.

The property is set in a tucked away location in the sought after village of Ogwell which has its own church, primary school and Inn, and is within a short driving distance of Newton Abbot with its wide range of shops and amenities and excellent road and rail links to the capital. For the outdoor lovers, Dartmoor National Park and the beautiful beaches and coves of the south Devon coastline are within striking distance. The outstanding Canada Hill Primary School is within easy walking distance as too are walks for dog owners on Ogwell Village Green, Ogwell Common and Bradley Woods.

Put simply, a wonderful opportunity!
