Main Description
No36 Main Street is a charming three bedroomed detached house which was originally the local school. The building has been comprehensively modernised by the current owners and now offers modern and practical accommodation. The generous reception room has a log burner and space enough for a suite of furniture as well as dining room table and chairs. There is a newly fitted kitchen and a separate utility room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en suite. There is a sun room at the rear which opens out into the easily managed south facing rear garden. There are two off street parking spaces accessed via a shared drive. Lowick is a pretty village with a shop, garage and pub some 6 miles to the south of the area?s principal town, Berwick upon Tweed. The village is well placed for the A1 which provides easy access to the regional and national road network. The beautiful Northumbrian coast is also close at hand as are the Cheviot Hills. Berwick upon Tweed has a comprehensive range of shops and facilities with a choice of supermarkets and smaller local retailers. Berwick has a leisure centre with gym and swimming pool and the award winning Maltings Theatre. The town also has a mainline station serving the east coast mainline with regular services to Edinburgh and Newcastle as well as London and intervening stations.
North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders is an area of outstanding natural beauty with a wealth of leisure opportunities including golf, both inland and links courses, hillwalking in the Cheviot or Lammermuir Hills, sailing and surfing at one of the many sandy beaches, horse racing, fishing and country sports.
