DIRECTIONS:
From the M5 motorway junction 23, take the A39 to the roundabout, turning right onto the A38 Bristol Road towards Highbridge. Enter the village of Pawlett turning left into Old Main Road and left again into Gaunts Road where the property will be found on the right hand side.

DESCRIPTION:
This beautifully presented and sympathetically improved detached country residence is believed to date back to the late 1650's when it was originally a farm house, later extended in Victorian times. The property is now named after the Reverend Richard Doidge who we understand was Vicar of Pawlett between 1727 and 1765 and who once resided at this property. Our present Vendors have undertaken extensive works including plumbing, wiring, double glazing etc. and copies of guarantees/invoices of works carried out can be provided upon request.

On the ground floor there is an entrance hall which flows into the family dining room which has attractive wooden floor and fireplace. An opening leads through to the re-fitted breakfast kitchen which has a bespoke range of cream painted distressed oak units with pewter style door furniture, stylish wood block worktops and contrasting slate floor, there are built-in appliances including microwave oven, extractor hood and a Smeg five ring halogen hob. There is a convenient breakfast bar and windows overlooking the rear garden. There is a useful utility, again with replaced modern units with shower room off, including shower cubicle, w.c. and sink unit. From the breakfast kitchen a door leads to the conservatory/rear lobby and a further door leads through to the study/family room which could be used as a fifth bedroom for an elderly dependant relative. The impressive sitting room has two fireplaces at both ends of the room, beamed ceiling and a superb flagstone floor. On the first floor there are four bedrooms, one of which has an en suite shower room and a separate family bathroom.

There is ample gated parking for a number of vehicles and various outbuildings including garage, garden room, greenhouse, workshop and store. The rear garden is attractively laid to a large lawn with well established trees and shrubs and also has a productive vegetable garden.
