" Hinton St George is a picturesque residential village in a conservation area of South Somerset and is set in attractive surrounding undulating countryside and contains many fine and interesting stone built character properties. The good range of local amenities include a large general stores/post office, a historic church, tea rooms, village hall and playing fields, cricket club, an upmarket pub/restaurant, a well supported primary school and local 'bus services to neighbouring towns and villages. The former market town of Crewkerne with its wide range of amenities including Waitrose and mainline station to Waterloo is three miles, Yeovil eleven miles, the Dorset Coast at Lyme Regis is eighteen and the A303 trunk road connecting to the National Network within three miles.
