  • About 10 miles north west of Ludlow.
    • Mostly double glazed. Oil fired central heating.
    • Lovely first floor sitting room.
    • Flexible ground floor accommodation.
    • Timber studio/home office.
    • Two garages.

The origins of this attractive cottage are believed to date back to the late 1700s. It is understood that it was extended in 1975 and again in 1982 and now provides plenty of very flexible accommodation. The present owners have three bedrooms but more of the ground floor accommodation could be used for bedroom space if that was required.

There is a spacious dining hall with exposed ceiling and wall timbers and an open fireplace. On the ground floor are two reception rooms presently used as study rooms. These could be used for alternative accommodation. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen/breakfast room was re-fitted about 18 months ago. There is an oil fired Aga which heats some of the hot water.

On the first floor is a most delightful sitting room with an open fireplace. It is a particularly bright and airy room, having six windows. Also on the first floor are the main family bathroom and two double bedrooms with built in wardrobes.

Most of the windows in the house have been double glazed with individually-made wooden frames.

The gardens are delightful, extending to about an acre. At the rear is a large semi circular stone terrace with wide steps leading up to an extensive lawn. To the front of the cottage are southerly facing gardens containing a wide variety of shrubs, fruit trees and herbaceous plants. There is an organic vegetable and soft fruit garden. Throughout the garden are ornamental and fruit trees including apple, plum, damson, quince and medlar.

There is a very useful timber outbuilding which is presently divided into two sections. One section could be used as a studio/home office/garden room and the other section is presently a large workshop and store. Both sections have electric lighting and power points. Adjoining the cottage are two garages.
