      Ash Leys was designed to take full advantage of the beautiful surrounding country views of the pretty South Shropshire village of Bucknell.

      The main living accommodation within the house is situated on the first floor. Principal windows face south making the best use of natural sunlight and the living area has a very interesting interior with an exposed timber roof structure. There are numerous windows allowing in plenty of natural light and the principle windows overlook the rear garden with views across the picturesque surrounding countryside. From the dining area bifolding doors lead into a lovely enclosed glazed sun room which has sliding doors opening on to an outside balcony. A ladder leads up to a mezanine which could provide further sleeping accommodation or a play area.

      The kitchen has a good range of fitted units, built in electric oven and gas hob. Also on the first floor is a useful study. There are three double bedrooms on the ground floor all with windows and glazed doors which lead into the conservatory. As well as the main bathroom there is an en suite shower room off the main bedroom.

      An important feature of the design of Ash Leys is the lovely south facing conservatory which runs along the entire width of the property at the rear and within which there is a mature vine. Within the grounds is a detached garage/workshop/studio/office which could be utilized for a variety of different purposes and subject to planning could also provide a very useful granny annexe type facility if required. There is also a further timber built double garage adjoining the house.

      The spacious gardens are another feature of Ash Leys. Running along the rear of the house is a terrace area with steps leading up to a central stoned pathway with lawn areas either side. An archway leads to a vegetable section with fruit trees and a greenhouse. There is also a further garden area beyond the studio within which is a large ornamental pond with decking surround. There is a further soft fruit section at the front of the studio.

      The garden adjoins open agricultural land and has views around the very picturesque surrounding South Shropshire countryside.

      The village of Bucknell lies approximately 14 miles west of Ludlow. From Ludlow take the A49 North for approximately 2 miles and turn left on to A4113 towards Knighton. Continue through the village of Leintwardine and turn right on to the A4113 Knighton road. Drive through the village of Brampton Bryan and turn right signposted Bucknell. Carry on for about 3/4 of a mile and turn left at the level crossing into Chapel Lawn Road. Go past the school on the left and the church on the right, over a humpback bridge, around a sharp right bend and the property is the first house on the left hand side.
