" Located in what many consider to be one of the two most desirable roads in the Hyde Farm Estate, this delightful 3 bedroom house offers someone the exciting opportunity to create a home entirely to their own taste. A much loved home for many years, the property has a cosy, welcoming feel to it. It also has the benefit of attractive fireplaces in most rooms, as well as other original features, and a pretty, westerly facing garden. The two reception rooms have been knocked through to create a spacious double living room, currently arranged with seating to one end and a dining table to the other. To the rear of the property, a wide arch from the kitchen leads to the breakfast room, which in turn opens onto the west facing garden which has an abundance of mature trees and shrubs. Most of the houses that come up for sale in the Hyde Farm have had either a kitchen or loft extension, if not both - this one has neither, meaning the incoming buyer (and their architect) can get creative and unleash their hidden interior design skills. Pentney Road is in the Hyde Farm Estate, an area sought after for its streets of attractive period properties as well as its proximity to both Balham and Tooting Bec Common. Balham's high street offers a wide selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The Northern line tube and overland rail station is 0.5 miles away. Local schools include Henry Cavendish and Telferscot state primaries (both Ofsted rated excellent).
