Durrington is located within the district of Salisbury, Wiltshire. It is situated in the east of Salisbury Plain, approximately 10 miles (16km) north of Salisbury, 1 mile north of Amesbury and approximately 2 miles (3km) east of the historical site of Stonehenge.
